Kolkata(1/10/09): Sourav Ganguly recreated his old magic of elegant timing and nifty footwork though off-the field when he played 'dhak' (drum) and danced during immersion of the Durga idol near his residence at Behala on Wednesday.
There was no bat and ball but the southpaw enthralled the crowd who had turned out in huge numbers to see Ganguly on a different pitch at the Barisha Players Corner.
Clad in a violet colour kurta, Ganguly danced with the members of the club like a commoner as the crowd went on clicking photos.
To give him company was elder brother Snehashish Ganguly who too was seen playing drum.
Ganguly will attend the Kolkata Knight Riders camp to be held in Gurgaon from Thursday.
Pakistan great Wasim Akram is expected to join the camp to give Knight Riders some tips about bowling.
KKR is yet to announce the name of their captain and coach for IPL III...
